ICF/MR — Intermediate Care Facilities for the Mentally Retarded (ICF/MR). Each of the RHA Howell, Inc. is fully licensed in North Carolina and is certified annually based on federal standards for ICF/MR. These certifications are required in order to serve persons eligible for Medicaid. The ICF/MR standards require that each person receive “active treatment”, that is, integrated service across all settings to meet the person’s needs. Each Year, RHA Howell, Inc. receive recertification as a Medicaid-approved ICF/MR facility.
